An introvert’s struggle

Real talk. As an introvert I gain my life’s energy from being alone with my own thoughts, reflection, meditation, prayer, quiet walks and moments of intimate connection. Only then will I feel ignited to be a social butterfly – for a fleeting few more moments. I’ve often struggled with this, often catching myself feeling increasingly guilty for wanting to take some time to check in with myself – for however long that may take. London’s rhythm can sometimes feel suffocatingly rushed and pressured. But, here’s to today and breathing into the present moment instead of expectations. Here’s to incredible friends who are patient and show nothing but understanding. Here’s to being transparent – even if it means standing alone.
